Friday PhotoEssay

We’ve made it to Friday again! Here’s what we’ve seen around the garden this week.

WatchThe Watch Celosia now has these huge crested heads. The leaves are starting to get a purplish cast due to the cooler temperatures.

RadishesThe fall radishes are growing fast. These radishes aren’t ready to pull until they are about the size of a tennis ball or baseball. I have to guard them from eager gardeners who think they should be pulled at normal radish size.

Fall saladThe lettuces before I scavenged for that Adventure Salad.

Sad tomatoesThe cherry tomatoes are looking sad and desolate. I think their very productive lives will come to a brutal end next week. I’m so over tomatoes for the year!

Wild StrawberriesThe strawberries are not looking sad and desolate. They are planning a takeover of the whole garden yet this fall!

Have a great weekend!
