I was in Portland for a conference last week, and I had the opportunity to visit the Portland Farmers’ Market. It was absolutely inspiring to see all the gorgeous produce.

Lunch from the MarketHere is a picture of our scrumptious lunch from visiting the market one day. I’m getting hungry just looking at it. The strawberries are a variety called ‘Albion,’ which is a new day-neutral variety. They were awesome! By far the best day-neutral/everbearing strawberry I have ever tasted.

Peppers and BeetsThere is still a bountiful crop of peppers and tomatoes, but the cool season vegetables were also looking great.

Winter SquashEvery shape, size, and color of winter squash imaginable!

GTF StandThis is the Growing Together Farm stand. I toured the farm as part of the conference. Here you can see a customer helping herself to fresh cut salad mix. They have an awesome salad mix that is unique to their farm, and far tastier than a pre-packaged mix. Check out their farm website: http://www.gatheringtogetherfarm.com/

If you want to try to recreate their salad mix yourself, you can buy seed from Wild Garden Seed.
