Things are changing rapidly out in the Demo Garden. I thought I’d take you on a bit of a photo tour from this morning. I’m sure it will all be changed again by Friday!

Tomato TreesThe tomatoes are quickly turning into small trees! They really need to be planted soon.

Tomato budsOne of the ‘Tumbling Tom’ cherry tomatoes already has some flower buds on it!

Tomatoes outsideI moved the tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant outside to get some sun and air. (It is also easier to water them with a hose than with a little watering can!) They won’t be as hardened off as I’d like them to be at this point, but I think they’ll be fine. The weather has conspired against me.

Bean seedlingsSome beans that we planted with some school children about 10 days ago have popped up over the weekend.

Rasberry vs. strawberryThe raspberries and the strawberries are continuing to encroach on each other’s space. This promises to be a battle royale as the summer goes along, especially for the Master Gardeners trying to keep them under control!

Salad The Family of 4 salad garden is looking delicious!

WeedsThis part of the garden is growing some beautiful weeds. We’d better get those tomatoes planted quick!

Salad Garden encoreThe ‘Encore’ Lettuce Mix in the Salad Garden is growing well and looking very colorful!

Elegance Greens MixThe ‘Elegance’ Greens mix is looking just as tasty and colorful as the lettuce mix. I think the two combined will make some delicious salads!
