We were busy in the garden this week, and so were the plants!

ChivesThe chives were starting to send up flower buds, but the leaves were in bad shape from the cold weather. To cut them back or not?

Chives 2Cut them back! This is one of the best ways to rejuventate chives. This clump will send up new leaves from the roots.

Snake in the LettuceGee, I hope that snake isn’t going to eat our lettuce!

Hosta growingThis hosta is just starting to grow for the spring.

StrawberryStrawberry flowers are beautiful – especially when there’s the hope that they will turn into strawberries!

Planted rowsThe stakes mark rows upon rows of lettuce that will be growing in our Salad Garden. By next Friday there should be stripes of green in this view!

Have a great weekend!
